Holy Week Scripture Reading Plan

Hi friends! So glad you are here! Can you believe Easter is right around the corner?! I’ve been looking forward to Easter since the beginning of the year. Seriously! I have so looked forward to celebrating the joy of the resurrection. Death defeated. Hope awakened. The empty tomb bringing a fullness to the heart.

Introduction:

Have you ever reflected much on Holy Week? I think sometimes we tend to skip over the week. Perhaps we focus on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Resurrection Sunday and leave out much of the rest. I know I do. But this year I truly want to celebrate the joy of the empty tomb and to do that I want to walk through the final days of Jesus; from His triumphant entry to the cross and to what that now means for us.

So this year, to help prepare my own heart for Easter Sunday, and truthfully even beyond, I’ve created a Scripture plan starting with Palm Sunday and going through the resurrection and his first interactions after He rose. The last day of the plan focuses on how this affects life now. What do we do with this Good News?

I would love it if you read along with me so I’ve included the plan below and made it printable. Just scroll all the way down and click on the download link 🙂

We’ll begin our Scripture reading on Sunday, April 5th. This is a ten day reading plan ending on Tuesday, April 14th!

How to Participate:

*No sign ups or enrollments! Just download and print or screenshot the Scripture Plan to your phone and follow along with the daily Bible reading. I’ll be posting the daily reading on Facebook and Instagram too 😉

*Download and print the journal pages. Download your journal pages HERE. This is totally optional but might be helpful if you want a place to write the verses or your thoughts for the day. You could also use a notebook or your journal.

*If you want to share on social media what you’re learning, please do! I think it’s amazing to see how the Word speaks to each of us right where we are. We can have open discussion and encourage one another with what we’re learning!

There is seriously no right or wrong way to do this Scripture plan! You can pick and choose what works best for you. It could be a quick read of the verses for the day. Or a deeper study using the method you prefer (bible journaling, SOAP method, etc.). Or if all you have is a minute to check Facebook, do that! I’ll have a verse and some encouragement for each day 🙂 My hope is that we will have an opportunity to learn more about our Savior during Holy Week.
