About Me

Friends, life can feel so overwhelming sometimes. As women, as mothers and as wives, our days can be full of jumping from one thing to another, so busy that we have to remind ourselves to see the good that’s right in front of us. I’m amazed at how blessed we are and how we actually need to be reminded of it-but we do. I hope that in this space, we can find that balance between grace and hot mess. I know I walk that tightrope most of the time! I long to know Jesus more and more as the One who is more than adequate to meet me in the middle of it all. Life is hard, but it’s so wonderful, too and I don’t want to keep just struggling through but want to live joyfully!

Hi, I’m Jen!
I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE.

A Few Things About Me:

I’m a Christ follower, wife to David, and mama to Chase.

I’m a graduate of San Diego Christian College with a degree in Biblical Studies.
I’m a scrapbook addict, thrift store shopper, with a strong love for all things Hanson.
I love stories and pictures and deep conversations that make you think and laugh.
I’m an introvert, a reader, a sweet tea and coffee drinking, small town girl in the desert.

Purpose of this blog:

To provide encouragement to keep pressing forward in our walk with Christ
To share personal reflection on relationships, motherhood, family life, and faith in hopes that if I can see Jesus in my story, it will encourage you to look for him in yours
To share fun ideas we can do with, and for, our families (lots of printables-I love printables)
Bible studies and devotionals to encourage and challenge us in our faith and get to know our Savior better, and tips and notes for studying the Word (including more printables 😉 )

Where does faith and real life intersect? What does “I don’t have it all together” and “Jesus is my strength” look like? Jesus is in our every day mundane life, the ridiculously tough times, and the gloriously joyful times. I love discovering Him there, even if I have to look a little harder some days. If you’re looking too, I hope you’ll stick around and join me in this space and share your story too <3

Thanks for reading!
