February Focus: Marriage
February always brings to mind love and love brings to mind marriage. This month we will focus on marriage! I pray you feel a new encouragement this month to love well and to live loved. We know God is our source, not our spouse, but we want to love well the one we have chosen to spend our life with. I think we can all say that it can be hard work! This month let’s focus on having some fun with our spouse and working on our very important relationship- our marriage!
February Challenge: Have a date night with your spouse
February Book Club: “Keep Showing Up” by Karen Ehman
February Bonus: Date night ideas
February Challenge
This month’s challenge is to have a date night with your spouse! Take a look at your calendar for this month and plan a date night! It doesn’t necessarily have to be a night out but just some time carved out for you and your spouse. This can be after the kiddos go to bed, a trip to the coffeeshop just for the two of you or some time on the back porch with a drink and your feet up. Get creative and have fun!
TO DO: Come back to the blog on February 8th for some date night ideas 🙂
February Book Club
This month we are reading “Keep Showing Up” by Karen Ehman. Sometimes our differences in marriage can threaten to divide us (ever heard that saying, “Opposites attract and then attack”?!). The author takes this idea and gives biblical and practical advice we can implement now. I think you’ll be challenged and encouraged 🙂 It will be a fun and practical read that will bring some refreshment to your marriage as you keep showing up! We’ll have weekly discussion questions on the blog each Friday for you to comment with your thoughts and what you’re learning.
Come back on February 15th for a new blog post and feel free to leave any comments on your thoughts about love and marriage, the book, or how date night went!
TO DO:
- Pick up a copy of “Keep Showing Up” by Karen Ehman. It is currently on sale at Christianbook.com for $1.99!
- I post discussion questions every Friday and we generally read 2-3 chapters each week. Or read at your own pace and come back to that week’s questions as you come to those chapters.
- Share your thoughts! Leave a comment on the blog so we can interact with one another!
