5 Super Easy Date Night Ideas

I don’t know where you stand on date night. I think we would probably agree that set apart time with our spouse is important and good for our marriage, but you might be wondering if it’s even feasible- especially right now when many places are still in stay at home orders. Or maybe you think date night is kind of a cheesy thing 😉 and it can be! But sometimes when we step out a bit and try something a little cheesy, that’s when the memories get made 🙂 .

5 Super Easy Date Night Ideas:

This month’s challenge is have a date night with your spouse and here are a few ideas to get you started. These ideas are all primarily based at home, but if you have access you can definitely have a night on the town! Whatever you choose, have fun with it and I hope it becomes a favorite memory for you! 🙂

S’mores Night

My husband loves a good campfire. I like to keep s’more ingredients on hand so we can spontaneously have s’mores when he gets an inkling for a campfire. These can even been done indoors with an indoor s’mores kit or with a candle flame. If you want to change up the recipe, try Reese’s Peanut Butter cups instead of chocolate bars. Or use chocolate chip cookies instead of graham crackers. Chat about your day, tell a joke or two or just enjoy the warm glow of the fire together.

Game Night

Bust out your board games or a deck of cards, pour a fun drink, and play! Check this post out for tons of 2 player games!

Take a Walk

Bundle up and find a fun walking trail. Hold hands, look around at the beauty of creation, and get a little exercise in too!

At-home Destination Date

Choose a destination (Hawaii? Paris, perhaps?) and create the atmosphere. Hit the dollar store for decorations and get creative! Choose a food from that area and a game or movie to wind up the night. Tiki lamps and pina coladas for a tropical theme. Chinese lanterns and chopsticks for takeout Chinese at home. Lasagna and a foreign film for an Italian adventure. Crepes and the Eiffel Tower for a Parisian night. The possibilities are endless!

Laugh It Up

Watch YouTube videos or Ridiculousness or a comedian’s special on Netflix- whatever it is that makes you and your spouse laugh! Share some cheesy jokes, chew on Laffy Taffy, and laugh it up! Laughter makes good medicine and sometimes it’s what’s needed to bring you closer.
