Share Four Somethings – April 2021

Hi friends! Linking up with Heather to share four somethings for this month: something loved, read, treasured, ahead. I feel like this month went by slowly but it was a busy month!

Something Loved

Something loved this month was watching my kiddo in karate! He was sooo cute in his little uniform! It took him a little time to get used to the rules and sit patiently but he caught on and earned his white belt. Super proud of him!

Something Read

Something read was “Another Gospel?” by Alisa Childers – an apologist’s take on Progressive Christianity. It really blew my mind! I’ve heard so many deconstruction stories and Alisa’s story of reconstruction is full of hope and her research is solid.

Other books read were:

  • “Everything We Ever Wanted” by Emily Giffin – centers around two very different families and the action that one teenage boys takes that affects them all.
  • “The Woman in the Window” by A.J. Finn – so good! I couldn’t put it down! It’s a mystery/thriller with a Rear Window vibe.

Something Treasured

I have treasured the memories and family time we’ve been able to have this month. We had a picnic in the park and played on the playground. Explored two different “beaches,” took in the artistic designs and the beautiful blooming cactus. Spent some one on one time with each of my kiddos. Dinners out with my sister and Easter with the entire immediate family. I’m so happy we’re able to do things and interact with people again.

Something Ahead

  • Celebrating my beautiful friend at her bachelorette weekend
  • Reading “You’re Not Enough (and that’s Okay!)” with book club
  • Celebrating my mother’s 60th birthday and Mother’s Day

Thanks for reading, friends! Hope you have a great May!

  1. I agree – being able to interact with people is amazing!! Sounds like you have had a lot of good times…and those photos of your kiddos are super cute!!:) I remember when my (now 31 year old) looked that cute in his gee!!

  2. I’m adding Another Gospel to my reading list. And I think I’ll add The Woman in the Window while I’m at it! The book recommendations are one of my favorite things about S4S!
