May Focus, Book Club & Challenge

May Focus: Identity

I’m sure we’ve all heard the self love mantras and the “you be you, boo” mentality that seems to pervade our culture. I’ve fallen into it: the idea that we are enough in ourselves and we can be, and do, anything. But is that true? Is that what the Bible teaches us? I’m so intrigued and excited to study this topic of self love and identity this month!

May Challenge: Take a dry erase marker and write on your bathroom mirror: “I am not enough and that’s okay!”

May Challenge

To be who we truly are- in Christ- we need to challenge ourselves to focus on our identity in Him. This month take a dry erase marker and write “I am not enough and that’s ok!” on your bathroom mirror. Rest in the fact that you are not enough but Christ is.

May Book Club

Allie Beth Stuckey is a podcast host, a conservative Christian who breaks down news, culture, and theology in her podcast “Relatable”. She has spoken at March for Life in Washington, DC and is a big proponent for debunking cultural myths. This month we will be reading her first book “You’re Not Enough (and that’s okay)”. I’m a big fan of Allie and her podcast “Relatable” so I’m super excited to read this book. She delves into five myths Christian women tend to believe about self love and identity and addresses them from a biblical perspective. I’ve always appreciated Allie’s desire to approach life from a truly biblical mindset. I really think we’ll be blown away by what we learn in her book so I’m thrilled to read it together!
