June Freebies! Spiritual Timeline

In June we are going back to the beginning. As we read “Dance, Stand, Run” in book club this month we are reminded of how amazing grace is and what we have received from God. It’s easy to forget the wonder of it all – especially when we’ve been on this journey with the Lord for some time. So let’s go back. Let’s think on when we first met the Lord. What were we thinking back then? What moved us to accept Jesus into our hearts? If you were a child when you were saved, perhaps you don’t remember all those details. You can still think back on your spiritual journey. It could be an answer to prayer that strengthened your faith. Or a “crossing the Jordan” moment in your life.

We are thinking back on our spiritual journeys with the Lord. What was it like when you first met God?

Step 1: Print the spiritual timeline pages. You can find them HERE.

Step 2: Pray.

Step 3: Think about the times God has worked in your life, touched your heart, or answered a prayer.

Step 4: Add the year or the exact date if you know it.

Step 5: Write in the event that happened.

Step 6: Use the reflection pages to think back on these events and thank God for it all.

I’m providing these free printables to help you chart your spiritual timeline, but definitely don’t feel limited to using just these worksheets. You can use whatever medium feels best to you! Maybe journaling works for you. Or creating a video or scrapbook would be what hits for you. If you’re a creative, use that muscle! If you’re not, that’s ok too!

Often times we can begin to feel that all of this is something we already know. We’ve heard about grace a million times, we know we should pray and read the Word. We know…but we forget. My hope with this month’s challenge is that we remember what we know and rediscover that passion for God that we most likely had in the beginning. That as we recall what He’s done for us, how He saved us by His grace, declared us righteousness through Jesus, and gives us a calling for our lives we will be spurred on to worship Him and obey Him.
