Share Four Somethings – July

July has been a full and crazy month! I can’t believe how fast this month went by! It seriously felt like a blur. Linking up with Heather for the monthly Share Four Somethings. I love this linkup because it helps me look back on the month and find the good. We are sharing something loved, read/said, treasured, and ahead.

Something Loved

Even though this month was crazy there were so many things that happened that I loved! Our Fourth of July was awesome, the quick trip to the beach we made was so much fun. The kids absolutely LOVED the beach! We explored the U.S.S. Midway and spent a few hours at the aquatic center, too. It’s been super hot so we tried to stay cool and spend as much time in the water as we could!

Something Read/Said

Lots of reading this month though I had a lot of stops and starts. I was in one of those moods where I’d pick up a book, start it, lose interest, and then pick up a different one. Ultimately, these six are the ones I finished. “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” by Holly Jackson was worth the hype and I loved “I Give Up” by Laura Story.

Something Treasured

The day of my son’s surgery, we went as scheduled only to find out that they were going to have to postpone it. They want him to get cleared by a cardiologist before they will put him under anesthesia. It was frustrating that we’d made this appointment two months before and were only now being told this. But afterwards, Chase and I had the best day. It was simple: toy store, lunch, and playing with his new toy. He asked me later if we could go back to the restaurant again because he had so much fun. It just made me realize how much we need regular one on one time with each other and am treasuring that he wants to spend time with me ❤

Something Ahead

  • Reading “Praying Women” by Sheila Walsh next month in book club
  • Celebrating my youngest’s birthday
  • My oldest son starts Kindergarten in just a few weeks! I’m excited and feeling all the feels for him. It will be the start of his education journey and all that comes with it. I’m just praying for him and trying to spend as much time with him as I can. What are your tips for a Mama sending her first born off to Kindergarten?!

Thanks for reading, friends! Hope you have a wonderful August! 🙂
